What is NYC SPIN?
NYC SPIN is a leadership forum founded to promote the exchange of software process improvement experiences, best practices and ideas. NYC SPIN's membership includes over 700 information technology professionals representing over 220 companies in the tri-state area.
NYC SPIN offers a regular monthly program of speakers and panel discussions on topics such as project management, change managament, outsourcing, software metrics, etc. NYC SPIN has also created Special Interest Groups - smaller SPINs that focus on specific topics such as Requirements Management, Configuration Management, and Business Management (Program Management & Project Offices).
Why does NYC SPIN need sponsors?
Membership in NYC SPIN is free, so the organization relies on sponsoring institutions to defray minimum operating costs. These include meeting expenses and communication, i.e. supporting the NYC SPIN web site.
What do NYC SPIN Sponsors do?
Our current sponsors provide one or more of the following to the NYC SPIN: Funds toward NYC SPIN events (e.g., toward refreshments); facilities for NYC SPIN events; hosting of the NYC SPIN website. In addition, we sometimes get books and other items to raffle off at our events and discount offers for our members from sponsors and from other companies as well.
